To reserve the agreed-upon time-block on the Session Date, the Client will pay to the Photographer, a non-refundable retainer in the amount of one-half the total session fee. Client understands and agrees that Photographer will not book other sessions during this time. In the event that Client cancels the portrait session or fails to attend the session on the Session Date, for any reason, Photographer will suffer losses that are difficult to ascertain. As such, Client agrees that, in the event of cancellation by Client, the retainer shall be forfeited by Client and paid to Photographer as liquidated damages and not as a penalty. By reserving a Session Date with a paid retainer, Client agrees that both the amount and the terms of retainer are reasonable.
Retainer may be paid with any major credit card. (Yes, debit cards, pre-paid cards, or gift cards with the Visa or Mastercard logo are fine.) Paypal payments are also accepted. If you use Paypal's "Bill Me Later" service, your Paypal account will be charged the full amount at the time of booking, though you will be able to pay the balance over time according to the terms of the current promotion. There are NO REFUNDS when using PayPal's Bill Me Later.
We understand that sometimes things happen. Therefore, rescheduling an appointment is allowed, but only one re-schedule is allowed before forfeit of the client's entire retainer. Your new appointment must be booked and take place within 60 days of original appointment to receive this courtesy. IMPORTANT: If your session was reserved to take place in a hotel suite, a reschedule with less than 2 weeks' notice will forfeit your retainer.
A minimum of 2 hour's notice is required for cancellation/re-schedule, except in the case of a hotel suite shoot, as outlined above. Less than 1 hour's notice will result in a $50 late notice fee being added to your total session cost. The same holds true if you are more than 1 hour late to your appointment.
No-shows (without calling to cancel/re-schedule) will forfeit the retainer, will not be permitted to reschedule.
Booking a session constitutes the client's agreement to above terms. If any part of this agreement is later deemed unenforceable, all other parts of this agreement will still be in full effect.
